Kokopelli: The
kokopelli is a humpbacked flute player whose Indian heritage dates back as
early as 200 A.D. This legendary, well-traveled, and
footloose figure was a god to some, and a nuisance to others, and a bearer of
good luck and health to many. Well -known for his gift of fertility, childless
wives begged for his company while unmarried women fled him with fear. |

Sun-Moon: The
artistic design of the Sun and Moon as one represents life for all.
The left side represents the Sun an essential element for existence.
The right side represents the moon with dreams, romance, high spirits and
an assurance of a long and prosperous life.. |

End of the Trail: The lone figure on
the weary horse is one of the most recognized symbols of the American
west. Today an impressive statue created by artist James Earl Fraser, who
grew up amongst stories of the old west, stands in the National Cowboy
Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City , OK. Created in 1894 the bronze
statue stands 8 feet tall, and is the centerpiece in the Fraser Memorial
Studio building on the Museum grounds. |

Gecko lizard: Five species of Geckos live in the
United States. Geckos are the only lizards that can produce
sounds-other lizards are voiceless. Most geckos have sticky toe pads which
enable them to cling either vertically or upside down, defying the force
of gravity. Other species found in sand dunes and desert have toes with
fringed scales which allow them to move swiftly across sand without
sinking. |
